VALUATION SERVICE

The Australian Antique Dealers Association

We are proud to be a member of the AADA which was established in 1992. This amalgamation of the various State Associations has made the Association the national body representing some 160 dealers Australia-wide. The AADA protects the public by enforcing a rigorous code of business practise amongst its members.
We are also the members of the International Confederation of Art & Antique Dealers Association CINOA

Furthermore, Grant Ker at the Antiquarian Print Gallery is an approved valuer of ANTIQUE PRINTS and ENGRAVINGS for the Australian Government's Cultural Gifts Program (Tax Department's concessions for gifts of antiques and art to the nation).

Would you buy a secondhand car without a guarantee?

"Would you seek an unqualified surgeon to perform an operation on you, or take legal advice from anyone other than a lawyer? Only too often, treasures for which one may have paid a lot of money turn out to be disappointments, especially when one tries to sell them to realise their investment. They may have been bought without adequate knowledge of the subject matter and without professional advice, their purvetors may have long disappeared or are simply not willing to stand by their product. Did you realise that you are protected by the professionalism of the members of the AADA when buying Antiques and Art from them?...Additionally through our delegates to the Confederation Internationale des Negociants en Oeuvres d'Art (CINOA) we keep abreast of international developments in the antique industry."
